Ask Reelhost

Ask Reelhost, in the sidebar, answers questions about Jellyfin on this computer and about Reelhost, in plain words. Type a question and press Enter, or click one of the suggestions. On the Check-up, each check that needs fixing has an Ask Reelhost link that asks about it for you.

What goes with each question:

• Your question and the conversation so far (the last 10 turns).
• The check-up's results: each check's name and status.
• The end of Jellyfin's newest log, up to 8,000 characters.

Before anything leaves your computer, user names in folder paths, email addresses, license keys, passwords, tokens and API keys are taken out. Reelhost's server also takes out IP addresses before the AI sees it. No media is sent. The conversation isn't saved: New conversation clears it, and so does closing Reelhost. We log each request's size and cost, not what it says (privacy).

Answers come from this help centre and Reelhost's release notes, with a link to the topic they're based on. When it doesn't know, it says so.

Suggested fixes. When a check-up fix would help, the answer lists it with Review this fix, which opens that fix's review in the Check-up. Nothing changes until you apply it there. For watching away from home it's Set this up; a fix that's already done says Already working.

If there's no answer. Offline, or while Reelhost AI is paused, you see what happened and your question stays in the box to send again. After 20 questions in an hour, wait a little.

Plans. Ask Reelhost appears once your license key is activated.

• Complete: included for 12 months from purchase (from the upgrade, if you upgraded from Core). Then you can add Reelhost AI for $9.99 a year; everything else in Complete stays yours.
• Yearly: included while you're subscribed.
• Included and add-on use is fair use: 100 questions and 4 library scans each calendar month.

When the free questions are used or the included year is over, the screen shows how to upgrade or add Reelhost AI. After buying, I've upgraded — check again or I've added it — check again turns it on straight away.
