Move to another computer
- On the old computer, click Licensed at the bottom of the sidebar, then Move to another computer, and confirm. That computer goes back to the free check-up; fixes already applied keep working.
- Activate the key on the new computer.
Old computer gone or broken? Free up a computer at reelhost.app/account: open Your computers and click Remove this computer. Reelhost on that computer asks for the key again at its next check. Moves count toward 3 a year; see Using it on two computers.
Bringing everything along. When you enter a key that's already on another computer (on the first run's welcome, or on License), and any time from License → Move from another computer, Reelhost lists what it found on your license, each with its own button:
- Your web address: Use it on this computer. The old computer stops updating it. Then finish it on Watch away from home, which also sets up your router again.
- Email alerts: Move alerts from DESK to this computer keeps their settings and where they go.
- Settings and watch history: a cloud backup from the old computer in a cloud folder this one syncs can be restored, with your recovery code. Without cloud backup, choose Export Reelhost settings on the old computer (License screen) and Import the file here. The file holds Reelhost's choices only, never keys or passwords.
- The old computer's place on your license: Free DESK's place, counted like any move. Moving the address or alerts isn't a license move.
Some things you redo yourself, and the list says how: the Tailscale sign-in, a router rule you added by hand, and Jellyfin itself if this computer has a different one.
