Troubleshooting

Emby on the same computer

Reelhost never changes Emby. When the two servers clash, it changes Jellyfin's side, so Emby carries on as before.

  • Four checks deal with it: Web port, Server discovery, TV media list and Artwork in media folders. Apply them together.
  • Until the Web port fix, both can sit on 8096, and a device reaches one or the other depending on how it connects. On this computer, open Jellyfin at http://127.0.0.1:8096, not localhost.
  • After the fix, Jellyfin is on 8097 (or the next free port). Give each Jellyfin app the new address from Connect devices.
  • Restoring a backup from before the Web port fix puts the clash back, and Jellyfin can't start. Apply the fix again.
