Record shows, skip commercials, make room
- Record every episode of a show in one click, and set how many to keep, so recordings fit.
- Skip commercials: Reelhost's own break detector finds the breaks in each recording and writes a small .edl file next to it. A community Jellyfin add-on reads that file and shows a Skip button.
- Automatic deletion is optional and off by default. You choose what deletes a watched recording: when space runs low (keep at least so many GB, or a % of the drive, free; watched longest ago first, or oldest recording first), some days after it's watched (1, 3, 7, 14, 30 or 60 days, or your own number), or both. You can also keep only the newest few of each show; series with their own "Keep" number are left to Jellyfin.
- Whose watching counts: anyone in the household (the default; the days count from whoever watched it last), only you (the owner's Jellyfin account), or everyone who started it.
- Show what would be deleted now lists exactly what your settings would delete, and why, without deleting anything. Try it before you turn deletion on.
- Turning it on asks you to confirm, and so does any later change that deletes more (like fewer days), because deleted recordings can't be recovered (see the terms). Recordings in progress, being watched, or of a show marked "Never delete automatically" are never deleted; unwatched ones only as a last resort when space runs low, if you separately confirm that. Each deletion is listed with its reason for 90 days.
All three need Complete or Yearly.
