Watch away from home

Your own web address, like yourname.watchhome.app, without buying a domain or touching your router.

How it works

1. Pick a name on the Watch away from home screen.
2. Reelhost gets the HTTPS certificate and sets up a small secure proxy on your computer.
3. It opens port 443 on your router with UPnP. If your router doesn't allow that, it shows you the one rule to add.
4. It checks the address from outside your home, so you know it works before you share it.
5. Every hour it keeps your name pointed at your home when your internet address changes.

A TV guide that keeps itself up to date

Live TV from your antenna in Jellyfin, with a guide that never runs empty.

How it works

1. Reelhost finds your HDHomeRun on your network and adds it to Jellyfin.
2. It fills the guide with SiliconDust's free listings, matched to every channel. Nothing to match by hand.
3. Every hour it checks the guide, even with Reelhost closed. If listings run short, it refreshes them.
4. The Antenna screen shows when it last checked and how far the listings reach, like "Guide checked 12 min ago · listings until Tue 7:16 pm".
5. Record a show, or every episode, right from the guide. Commercial skipping marks the breaks.

2. It reads a copy, so Plex itself is never changed and can keep running.

Subtitles for everything

How it works

1. Reelhost first has Jellyfin download subtitles that already exist, through its Open Subtitles add-on.
2. For the rest, it makes subtitles with AI on your own computer. Nothing is sent anywhere.
3. You choose when: only while the computer is quiet, or anytime at low priority, so playback never stutters.
4. Each subtitle is saved next to its video. Your video files are never changed.

Undo one fix

Changed your mind about one fix? Put back just that one.

How it works

1. Before every Apply, Reelhost backs up the settings it's about to change.
2. On the check-up, untick a fix you applied.
3. Confirm, and Reelhost puts back exactly what that fix changed. Nothing else moves.
4. Restore on the Backups screen puts back a whole Apply.
